Acharya Balakrishna tweeted, “Today, in Greater Noida, a notice has been issued to cancel the mega food park approved by the central government. The resolution of bringing prosperity to the lives of the farmers of the holy land of Shri Ram and Krishna remained incomplete due to the provincial government’s apathy. # Patanjali decided to shift the project elsewhere.

Balakrishna, while sharing the symbolic picture of this mega food park, wrote, “It was Patanjali Food Park Noida’s proposed vast institution, which provides employment to thousands of people and the millions of farmers get rich life …”

The news came Wednesday morning that after this controversy, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi interacted with Adityanath and promised to make the decision as soon as possible.

In 2016, the then SP Government Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav laid the foundations of Patanjali’s Mega Food Park in Uttar Pradesh. It was to be prepared with an investment of 1666.8 crores.

Claims related to the project

These mega food parks are to be built in 455 acres and it was claimed that after the commencement of this, more than 8 thousand people will get employment directly.

According to the news of Hindustan Times (HT) officials of Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) had told that the land has been allocated for institutional and industrial use.

HT had referred to YEIDA’s Additional Chief Executive Officer Amarnath, “Uttar Pradesh government has issued an allotment letter, in which 45 yards of land has been given to Yog Guru Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali Yogpeeth.”

“We have given 430 acres of industrial use and 25 acres for institutional use. Baba Ramdev has plans to set up a university and research center there. “

Where is this proposed food park?

The 165-kilometer long Yamuna Expressway is in control of YEIDA. The place where Patanjali Yogpeeth has planned to build this mega food park, is in Sector 24, 24A and 22B. It is adjacent to the 120 meter wide road connecting the Yamuna Expressway.

This place is about four kilometers away from Buddha International Circuit. Yamuna Expressway connects Greater Noida with Agra and Lucknow ahead of it.

When discussions were going on between the Uttar Pradesh government and Patanjali Yogpeeth, the supporters of Baba Ramdev had said that they are planning to start work here from March 2018.

Patanjali Yogpeeth had claimed that this project of 1600 crores would benefit 50 thousand local farmers because they would buy ghee, oil etc.
